R2m ransom for missing Kollegepark school girl

A private investigator working on the kidnapping case of Amy-Lee de Jager has confirmed to Jacaranda FM News that the captors are demanding a R2 million ransom.

The 5-year-old's parents were contacted by the kidnappers on Monday.


"There has been a R2 million ransom and it is alleged that she was kidnapped by four black males in a white Fortuner," says private investigator Wendy Pascoe.


The grade RR learner was kidnapped outside Kollegepark Primary school in Vanderbijlpark early Monday morning.


"It is alleged that she was kidnapped by four.. males in a white Fortuner.


"In Amy's case, all the necessary authorities are involved in the case so they are all going full out and doing what needs to be done."

The 26 slain police offers will have their names engraved on the national memorial wall at the seat of government. The aunt of Constable Thokozile Phadziri said the commemoration was befitting of her niece.

Police confirmed that De Jager was last seen wearing a pink dress, white shirt and black stockings.


"She was just dropped outside the school then they pushed the 5-year-old boy who was with her and they took the 6-year-old girl. It was her brother and she was with her mother," says Gauteng police spokesperson Kay Makhubele.
