These men were arrested on allegations of corruption, money laundering and fraud involving the prisons department and Bosasa.

A spokesperson for the Hawks Brigadier Hangwani Mulaudzi says five suspects are already in custody, one must still be arrested in Port Elizabeth and another suspect is currently overseas.

He says an eight suspect is deceased and will, therefore, be cleared by the Court.

Mulaudzi says three other entities are expected to appear in a court in Pretoria on Wednesday afternoon.

The arrests follow a marathon investigation wherein almost R1.6 Billion is said to have been misappropriated in the tender processes for the procurement of various services by the Department of Correctional Services.

Mulaudzi says they have already made contact with the suspect in Port Elizabeth and he is aware that his arrest is imminent.

Algoa FM News asked Mulaudzi if " Mr Watson" was the suspect from PE, however, he would not confirm any details until they have all appeared in court.

All seven suspects will appear in Pretoria.
