Boy (4) dies after plummeting from Durban flat
A four-year-old boy, who fell from a block of flats along Durban's North Beach, has succumbed to his injuries.
It's believed he plummeted from a fourth-floor window which wasn't secured with burglar guards.
The child was airlifted to hospital by medics late on Thursday afternoon.
"The child had sustained polytrauma injuries to the child's head and chest area and a lot of fractures as well,” says Netcare 911's Shawn Herbst.
"The child has passed away. From the information we have received, the child passed away shortly after arrival at the hospital."
