The DA has called on the Rules Committee to review what happened in parliament last night when EFF-Leader, Julius Malema was thrown out of the National Assembly. 


According to DA spokesperson, Mabine Seabi the Presiding Officer's mismanagement of the plenary - as well as the misapplication 

of the rules led to the evening's chaos which subsequently led to the sitting's inevitable collapse.


Yesterday the High Court, sitting in Randburg, heard that Sindisiwe Manqele was drunk and high before stabbing her boyfriend, Nkululeko "Flabba" Habedi. 


Manqele is on trial for the murder of Habedi - who was a member of the hip-hop group, Skwatta Kamp.

The Synagogue Church of All Nations in Lagos confirmed that it will be hosting a remembrance service this Saturday at Gallagher Estate for the more than 80 South Africans who died last year when the church collapsed. 


Kirsten Nemetandani says family members will be present at the Remembrance Day.

Scientists at Wits are expected today to unveil one of the most important fossil discoveries made to date at the Cradle of Humankind World Heritage site in Maropeng. 


It is reported that the largest assemblage of hominin fossils on the African continent will be unveiled to the public and among those expected to be present for the big reveal will be Deputy President Cyril Ramaphosa, Wits Vice Chancellor Adam Habib, Environmental Affairs Minister Edna Molewa and acting Gauteng Premier Lebo Maile.

Temperatures are starting to warm into the 30s in the Northern half of the country. Eskom says this is very good news as it will allow them to carry out maintenance work without having to implement loadshedding. 

Eskom spokesperson, Khulu Phasiwe has warned that we are not just out of the woods yet.
