Bus operator Autopax has released a timetable of the routes it has taken over from Putco.

The company apologised in a press release for the inconvenience any of the commuters might have experienced on its first day of operations.

It comes after taxi operators in Mamelodi refused the buses access to the routes after a dispute between the operators emerged.

Operators told commuters to use their taxi services as they believed the Putco busses would be replaced by their additional taxis.

The company also said it had a shortage of drivers, but says the training and employment of new drivers would take around three weeks.

The timetable includes the routes for Mamelodi, Vosloorus, and Evaton.

The tripartite alliance took place yesterday in Pretoria to brief the media about renewed unity in the alliance.

ANC secretary general Gwede Mantashe was addressing media last night following a five day Alliance Summit and was asked if they at some point confronted the President about the multi-million rand KZN homestead.

The issue of Nkandla was a state matter, not one to do with President Jacob Zuma, said Mantashe.

Mantashe explained that according to the Public Protector's report, Zuma was cleared of any corruption - and where we should be focusing is the over pricing - by focusing on Zuma, we are missing the real issue.
