Employees gathered at their Megawatt Park headquarters in Sunninghill on Molefe's first day back at work.
Molefe was reappointed as CEO to serve out the remainder of his five-year contract.

Molefe's return comes amid a picket by DA and Cope members, who are opposed to his reappointment.
The DA has also filed an urgent application to interdict Molefe's return.
Eskom spokesperson Khulu Phasiwe says staff members arranged the impromptu meeting.
"Staff members were singing and demanding Molefe come, so they can welcome him back," says Phasiwe.
Phasiwe says Molefe emphasised that Eskom needs to complete its build programme.
"He said we need to complete Medupi and Khusile power stations by 2021 and 2022, respectively. He also said we need to make sure we roll out the electrification programme to people who do not have electricity."
