The National Union of Metalworkers of South Africa (Numsa) and two other unions have issued a notice to inform employers in the bus passenger sector of its intention to strike.
This will affect the short and long distance bus industry from tomorrow.
Drivers are demanding improved working conditions as well as a salary hike of 15 percent.

Mhlongo says congregants don't only make use of Putco buses.
"All the buses that normally ferry the church members will all be affected by the strike."
