The five, including Willah Mudulo, his wife Zethu and another accused Landiwe Ntlokwana appeared in the Pretoria Magistrate’s Court on Monday to apply for bail.

They are all facing charges of fraud, theft and money laundering related to an investment scheme valued at R102 million.

After waiting five hours, the court was able to hear the bail application of Zethu Mudolo, who is accused number two.

Through her lawyer, Mudolo's affidavit was read in court.

She said she was arrested on the 17th of October, while she was breastfeeding her 9-month-old baby and feeding her 4-year-old.

Mudolo accused the Hawks of arresting her without a warrant and using uncessary force by breaking her front door.

She told the court she resigned from Rising Estate, the company she co-owned with her husband in 2017 and is currently unemployed.

The company was allegedly used in the investment scheme.

She has been in police custody for a week.

Mudolo said she suffers from anemia and has not gotten her medication since her arrest, that continued incarceration will affect her health and her minor children who are dependent on her.

She intends on pleading not guilty.

The matter has been postponed to Friday.
