Cape Town gang boss shot dead in Boksburg

Cape Town gang boss Ernie ‘Lastig’ Solomon has been shot and killed in a hit in Boksburg, east of Johannesburg.
Solomon, who is a former leader of the 28’s gang, died in a hail of bullets at the intersection of Rondebult Road and Kingfisher Avenue on Friday morning.
Three others, including a 5-year-old child, were injured in the shooting and airlifted to hospital.
Gauteng police spokesperson Kay Makhubele says they are searching for four suspects.
“It is reported that a white Ford Ranger bumped and intercepted a white BMW with four occupants inside. Two armed men allegedly alighted from the Ford Ranger and started shooting at the car, fatally wounding one, while three victims, including a child, were airlifted.
“The motive for the incident at the moment is unknown. No arrests have been made yet.”
