Cape Town matriculant shot and killed hours before release of results

Police in Western Cape have launched a manhunt for a group of unknown men who shot and killed a teen in Mitchells Plain on Thursday. after a teenager who was in matric was killed hours before the release of results.
Eighteen-year-old Wakeel Dreyer was shot and killed hours before he was due to receive his matric exam results at Beacon Hill High School.
Police spokesperson Jospeh Swartbooi says a group of men in a car pulled up at a tuck shop and shot Dreyer 17 times.
“The victim was declared deceased on the scene by the medical personnel. The unknown suspects fled the scene and are yet to be arrested. The motive for the attack is yet to be determined.
“Mitchells Plain police are investigating a murder," says Swartbooi.
