Cape Town restaurant ranked 37th best on the planet
A third Western Cape restaurant has cracked the list of the world’s best places to eat.
Fyn restaurant in Cape Town has been ranked the 37th best on the planet in the prestigious World’s 50 Best Restaurants list.
The list is based on voting by an academy of just over 1 000 culinary experts.
Last week two eateries made the top 100, with La Colombe in Cape Town coming in at number 56 while Wolfgat restaurant in Paternoster made it to 90th position.
Western Cape Minister of Finance and Economic Opportunities Mireille Wenger said the ranking will provide a reason for both domestic and international visitors to choose Cape Town and the Western Cape for their next holiday.
"I am ecstatic that a third restaurant, Fyn in Cape Town, has made it into the top 100 list of restaurants in the world for 2022, breaking into the top 50 categories. I again extend my congratulations to the teams at these restaurants, who have helped put our province on the culinary world map.”
