GDE investigates claims of bullying at Thokoza school after pupil's death

The Department of education in Gauteng on Wednesday confirmed that they are investigating claims of bullying in Khehlekile Primary School in Thokoza, Ekurhuleni.
The investigation comes after a grade 6 pupil mysteriously died on Monday.
In August, GDE conducted bullying investigations in Queens high after a high school pupil, Brian Ndlovu died.
Ndlovu was reportedly forced to consume a poisonous substance that led to his untimely passing.

Spokesperson Steve Mabona says the grade 6 pupil was found hanging at his family’s home.
Police are investigating circumstances surrounding this tragic incident.
"Our Psycho-Social Support team and officials from the Gauteng Department of Social Development started yesterday with the process of providing necessary counselling and will continue as per need" said Mabona.
