Cold and wet weather to hit Gauteng on Tuesday

Gauteng residents must gear up for a windy and rainy week, according to the South African Weather Service.
A cold front, which begun last week, will intensify this week across the country.
Thundershowers are also expected in Gauteng on Tuesday.
Meteorologist Edward Engelbrecht says the cold front moved over the eastern parts of the country last night.
"It will remain windy and cold across Gauteng today. We are expecting maximums to go between 18 and 20 degrees. For the rest of the week, it is going to remain cold and tomorrow we see a further decrease in temperatures maximums only going up to about 14 degrees for Pretoria and Johannesburg will be about 13 degrees and that's gonna be accompanied by a 30% chance of rain.”

He said they do not expect any more rain after tomorrow.
"But it’s going to remain cold and the maximum daytime temperatures will range between 16 and 18 degrees for Gauteng. Minimum temperatures will be very cold from Wednesday and Thursday, we can see the temperatures going down from 3 to 2 degrees.”
He says Mpumalanga and Limpopo should also expect rain from Tuesday.
