Operation Dudula leader Nhlanhla ‘Lux’ Dlamini has been granted bail of R1500 in the Roodepoort Magistrate’s Court, west of Johannesburg.
Dlamini was arrested on Thursday night after charges of housebreaking were laid against him.
Soweto resident Victor Ramerafe alleges Dlamini and members of the group ransacked his Dobsonville home, accusing him of dealing with drugs.
The matter has been postponed to May for further investigation.
"The further conditions seeing your release on bail, that you do not have any contact with this complainant, Victor Ramerafe in any manner pending this case,” said Magistrate Ruby Mathys in her ruling.
“Do not send anybody there, communicate through any electronic needs, phone, Instagram, Twitter or Facebook.
“If there is any complaint about that the court may enquire about that and court finds that you have breached this condition, your bail may be cancelled.”
