Court hears Thoriso Themane suspect has passed away
Eight minors and two adults have appeared in the Limpopo High Court on Monday in connection with the murder of Thoriso Themane.
Themane was attacked in a Polokwane suburb in February 2019. A video of his assault went viral on social media.

The court also heard on Monday that one of the minor accused has passed away.
Spokesperson for the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) in Limpopo Mashudu Malabi-Dzhangi says the trial will take place behind closed doors due the involvement of minors.
“Due to the involvement of minors.. the trail is to be held in-camera. The matter was postponed to the 6th of July 2020 because the legal representative of accused number 6 and 7 requested the state to finish with certain information.”
