Former president Jacob Zuma's attempts to privately prosecute his successor Cyril Ramaphosa were dealt another blow in the High Court in Johannesburg on Tuesday.
The full bench, led by Judge Lebogang Modiba, dismissed the appeal and awarded a cost order against Zuma.
In December last year, former president Jacob Zuma issued a summons for his successor to appear in court on in January.
He accused the president of being an accessory after the fact in his case against state prosecutor Billy Downer and journalist Karyn Maughan.
Zuma’s case against Downer, whom he accused of leaking his private medical information to Maughan, was also dismissed on Monday by the Pietermaritzburg High Court.
Zuma had applied for leave to appeal the ruling in the case concerning Downer and Maughan.
