Covid-19 positivity rate declining

The Covid-19 positivity rate continues to decline according to statistics released by the National Institute of Communicable Diseases (NICD).
Statistics released by the institute on Sunday show that the positivity rate now stands at 17.6%, a significant decline since the emergence of the Omicron variant last month.
A further 4,482 new Covid-19 cases have been reported in the country in just one day, bringing the national total since the emergence of the virus to 3 526 054.

Covid-19 related deaths also continue to increase with 82 recorded in just one day, increasing the country’s fatalities to 92 453.
