Crash on N1: Truck carrying beer loses its load
Updated | By Lebohang Ndashe
A truck carrying crates of beer crashed on the N1 Northbound near the Brakfontein interchange on Wednesday morning, causing severe traffic congestion.

Gauteng Traffic Police say the light delivery vehicle overturned and lost its load of beer.
Motorists have further been warned of delays due to three lanes being closed.
Gauteng Traffic Police spokesperson Obed Sibasa reported that traffic from Centurion and Pretoria has been severely backed up, compounded by motorists abandoning their vehicles to gather spilled alcohol.
Sibasa urged motorists to refrain from this practice and appealed to motorists travelling from Pretoria and Centurion to use the N14 or the R21 as alternative routes.
