Criticism of ANC comes from a place of love, says Lamola

Minister of Justice and Correctional Services Ronald Lamola believes the criticism of the governing party comes from people who knows it can do better.

Lamola spoke to Jacaranda FM News at Midrand Primary School on Monday where he cast his vote.

He admitted that the party had to answer some tough questions from members of different communities during their election campaign.

However, Lamola believes the majority of the citizens will still vote for ANC.

“We are here to win, anything else we will deal with it after elections, but the people are coming out in their numbers, they have seen that coalition doesn’t work and they want the ANC to win an outright majority.

“People will definitely vote for the ANC, obviously, there were mixed reactions but most of the people who were criticising us they were doing it out of love, they know that we can be able to do what we promised, they know that we can do the right things and they know that we can correct our mistakes,” said Lamola.

Meanwhile, the Gauteng Premier David Makhura was mainly concerned about the youth coming out to vote.

Makhura cast his vote in Centurion.

“I want to call on the youth across Gauteng that you can make a difference, you can make a significant contribution and refuse to stand on the side-line because how do you get what you want, you need to be able to say I can find my councillor who will listen to me.

“Young people need to really  be out there because it is they who pay the price when they stand on the side-lines.”
