Updated | By MornéJK
The DA will lay criminal charges of corruption against Eskom's CEO Brian Molefe today.

Shadow Minister of Public Enterprises, Natasha Mazzone will lay criminal charges against Molefe in terms of the PFMA and Prevention, Combatting of Corrupt Activities Act and the Powers, Privileges and Immunities of Parliament and Provincial Legislatures Act.
"We cannot stand by as those in positions of power are allowed to abuse state institutions for their own selfish gain and to the detriment of South Africans," she says.

The DA is adamant that it is time that Molefe is "brought to book" and that these charges are a step towards ensuring that this happens.
The charge will officially be laid at the Buitekant police station in the Western Cape later this morning.
