The DA has appointed Siviwe Gwarube as the party’s new chief whip in the National Assembly.
Gwarube, who was the party’s national spokesperson, replaces Natasha Mazzone as the head of the official opposition’s parliamentary caucus.
The party announced the reshuffle on Thursday morning.
“Mazzone will now represent the DA in the Joint Standing Committee on Intelligence, with a specific focus on overhauling the oversight model of the state security apparatus,” the statement read.
