‘Dame’ Thuli Madonsela awarded for fight against corruption

Former public protector Thuli Madonsela has been awarded a knighthood for her fight against corruption.

Madonsela was conferred by French Ambassador Aurélien Lechevallier on Monday evening.
She was conferred with the insignia of the French knighthood for fighting corruption.

Speaking to Jacaranda FM news, Madonsela expressed her elation.
"I see it as a way of recognising the work we're doing and shining a spotlight on it which gets everyone noticing.
“Hopefully in a way everyone will join the quest for social justice because we're saying that we should have all hands on deck to make sure that no one is left behind."
