Minister of Arts and Culture Zizi Kodwa has joined the chorus of high-profile South Africans condemning the DA’s latest election advert.
The ad, released on Sunday, portrays the burning of the South African flag.
In the advert, a voiceover can be heard warning of South Africa's demise under an ANC and EFF coalition.

Arts and Culture spokesperson Litha Mpondwana says the advert offends the country's gains in achieving democracy.
"This action by the Democratic Alliance offends the gains South Africa has made as a free and non-racial democracy, and the blood, tears and sacrifices it took for the country to gain this freedom.
"It offends all South Africans, who proudly raise the country's flag sky high and appreciate its representation as a flag of a free, democratic nation," he said.
Addressing the media at the advert's launch on Sunday evening, DA leader John Steenhuisen said the party wanted to convey an urgent warning on the perils faced by the country’s constitutional democracy.
"What you will see in this advertisement is a symbolic representation of the future that awaits South Africa if people do not vote for the DA.
“It is a warning of what this country’s future will look like under a Doomsday Coalition between the ANC, the EFF, and perhaps also MK and mercenary small parties like the Patriotic Alliance," said Steenhuisen.
