DA councillor Michael Hollenstein has been elected Executive Mayor of Mogale City.

He received 39 votes, against the 38 votes for the ANC's Patrick Naga Lipudi.
Two ballots papers were cancelled.
A special council meeting was called to elect a new mayor after Lynn Pannall tendered her resignation last week due to ill health.
