Daughter, friends in court for murder of elderly parents

A 33-year-old Free State woman and four other suspects will appear in court on Friday in connection with the murder of the woman’s elderly parents.
The five suspects, aged 16 to 33, allegedly stabbed and killed the couple at their Kroonstad home on Tuesday.
The victims’ bodies were then burnt and dumped on a plot in Maokeng.
Provincial police spokesperson Motantsi Makhele says one of the daughter's friends was arrested in Sasolburg while driving the victim’s vehicle.
“It’s a 33-year old woman and her friends who were who was arrested for the double murder of two elderly people who were burnt and found in the plot in Maokeng.
“Further investigation will determine the reason for the attack, but the five suspects are expected to appear in court.“
The suspects will appear in the Maokeng Magistrate's Court.
