Repair operations were under way Tuesday in Denmark and Sweden to clear train tracks and roads from fallen trees and restore power, the day after a powerful Atlantic storm swept over Scandinavia.

Danish train operator DSB said local, regional and intercity train services would be reduced due to severed power lines, as well as debris and trees on the tracks.

One man was reported killed in Gilleleje in northern Zealand, while about 70 people were injured in other parts of Denmark due to the storm.

Main road and rail bridges re-opened late Monday after being temporarily closed due to high winds, including the Oresund bridge that links Denmark and Sweden.

No serious injuries were reported in Sweden, but about 60,000 households were without power. On Tuesday morning the storm had moved past the Baltic Sea island of Gotland.
