‘Disputes’ sees ANC in Joburg postpone its elective conference
Updated | By Cliff Shiko
The ANC in Johannesburg has postponed its elective conference due to ongoing disputes at various branches in the region.

The conference was set to take place next week but the party will first attempt to resolve the 43 disputes at branches.
Regional secretary Dada Morero says nine of the branches will have to reconvene.
"The Regional Task Team received the Regional Dispute Resolution Committee Report which highlighted that 43 branches lodged disputes with their BBGMs and in terms of all disputes received, less than 10 branches will be required to reconvene their meetings if not yet convened.
"The Task Team also met to consider the report from the conference preparation committee which gave a green light for conference logistics including accommodation, branding, security, COVID-19 vaccination, and protocol measures for delegates."
Meanwhile, Morero says the regional treasurer and former Johannesburg mayor Mpho Moerane remains in a stable condition in hospital following a car crash.
