Driver arrested for crashing through KNP gate

One person was arrested and three others injured following two separate accidents at the Kruger National Park on Wednesday night.
Spokesperson Isaac Phaahla says a vehicle smashed through the Paul Kruger gate at around 21:00.
"The vehicle crashed through the gate traveling at a very high speed made a U-turn at reception and drove off. Skukuza South African Police Service pitched up the registration number and are following the case.”
Two hours later a bakkie crashed into a guard house.
Phaahla says a driver and two other passengers were injured and treated on the scene.
"The passengers were treated at the scene and the driver has been charged with negligence and driving under the influence of alcohol after he was discharged from the hospital."
UPDATE: The driver of the crashed car has been arrested and charged with reckless driving and driving under the influence of alcohol. He will be appearing at the Bushbuckridge Magistrate Court today.

The drunk driver appeared at the Bushbuckridge Magistrate's Court.
"We understand that he has already appeared at the Bushbuckridge Magistrates Court and has been asked to plead to the charges of negligent driving and driving under the influence of alcohol."
