Driver nabbed for clocking 249km/h on N4

Two suspects were arrested for being in possession of stolen items on the N1 in Gauteng on Thursday.
Gauteng Traffic Police says the suspects had several stolen items including a TV, laptop, cell phones and a stolen firearm in their vehicle.
"One of the suspects fled the scene, while two suspects were arrested and are facing charges of armed robbery, theft of motor vehicle including being in possession of stolen items," said spokesperson Sello Maremane.
In a separate incident, the officers arrested two male suspects for excessive speeding on the N4.
The first suspect was apprehended while driving at a speed of 211 km/h, while the second suspect was caught driving at 249 km/h.
Both suspects are currently detained and will face charges of reckless driving and exceeding the speed limit.
"As Gauteng Traffic Police, we will be intensifying our law enforcement ahead of the Easter weekend and beyond as people will be traveling to various places and criminals might take their chances," Maremane added.
