Dudu Myeni corruption case postponed to February

The fraud and corruption case of former South African Airways chairperson Dudu Myeni and former Bosasa director Trevor Mathenjwa was on Friday postponed to February.
The two appeared in the Richards Bay Magistrate's Court in KwaZulu-Natal.
They face charges of fraud and corruption, totalling R300 000.
The charges are linked to alleged kickbacks that Myeni received during her time at SAA, which the National Prosecuting Authority believes were facilitated by Mathenjwa.
In September, the duo were granted R10 000 bail each.
“Contents of the docket have been disclosed to the accused in the over R300 000 matter involving former SAA board chairperson Dudu Myeni and former Sondolo IT director Trevor Mathenjwa,” said Investigating Directorate spokesperson Sindisiwe Seboka.
“The docket, while it has been disclosed, the court also heard that the Investigating Directorate intends to bring a centralisation application. Myeni’s legal council has indicated that they intend to oppose this centralisation application. The arguments therein will then be heard on the 9th of February when the matter returns to court”.
