A man who allegedly shot and killed his wife inside an Eastern Cape police station made his first appearance in court on Wednesday.
Yandisa Daniso shot his 28-year-old wife Nwabisa Dwaza on Monday while she was busy opening up a case of domestic violence against him.
He then fled the scene afterwards but was immediately apprehended by the police.
National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) regional spokesperson Luxolo Tyali says the 42-year old man has been charged with premeditated murder, attempted murder and unlawfully discharging a firearm within a public place.
Tyali adds the state applied for the case to be postponed for the profiling of the accused.
According to Tyali, the state also intends to oppose bail.
The case was postponed to next week Friday for a formal bail application.
