The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) have rallied behind the protesters who are demanding that Tshwane Metro Executive Mayor, Solly Msimanga, supplies residents with 888 houses and basic services.
"In Tshwane, with that corrupt, lazy Solly Msimanga - we don't even know where the housing list is. It is one of the demands we made, we want the housing list, we want people who were approve for allocation to be prioritised. He is busy with corruption there," says EFF acting chairperson, Mandisa Mashego.
Police have been deployed in their numbers in a bid to divert the violent protesters.
According to police spokesperson, Kay Makhubele, no arrests have been made.
The Tshwane Bus Service confirmed that it had to suspend its services due to the service delivery protest, citing intimidation of their drivers.
