EFF planning underway on the way forward
Updated | By Samkelo Maseko
The EFF is planning the year ahead for the party at a meeting in Kempton Park.
EFF Deputy President Floyd Shivambu says the party is focusing on strengthening organizational structures this year.
"If we are to take power in 2019, we will have to have strong branches and effective elections machinery in KZN and Eastern Cape. We are on a mission to build these two provinces from scratch," says Shivambu

Shivambu says structures in KwaZulu Natal and the Eastern Cape need attention, after both were disbanded following poor performances during last year's election.
He believes the party needs to be strong in the two provinces, if it wants to win power during the national elections in 2019.
The EFF will also be holding four provincial conferences during the course of the year; in the North West, KwaZulu Natal, the Eastern Cape and Gauteng.
