Eskom implements stages 3 & 2 load shedding 'until further notice'
Updated | By Mmangaliso Khumalo
Embattled power utility Eskom has implemented stages of three and two of rolling blackouts until further notice.

In a short statement on Monday, the utility said the varying stages of loadshedding were due to an anticipation of generation capacity to return to the grid on Tuesday.
Stage 3 load shedding is expected to be implemented from 4pm on Monday.
"With breakdowns currently at 15 984MW of generation capacity and six generation units anticipated to return to service tomorrow, stage 3 load shedding will continue to be implemented today until 5am on Tuesday," said Eskom spokesperson Daphne Moekoena.
"Thereafter, load shedding will be reduced to stage 2 from 5am until 4pm, followed by stage 3 from 4pm until 5am on Wednesday. This pattern will be repeated daily until further notice."
