Eskom: No loadshedding today
Updated | By MornéJK jk
No load shedding was expected early Tuesday, as Eskom has enough generating capacity to meet demand.
The power utility called on customers to use power sparingly.
”We urge all customers to continue using electricity sparingly at all times to enable the technicians to carry out the requisite maintenance of our power generating units,” Eskom said in a statement.
”Commercial customers, particularly shopping centres and office blocks, can also make a big difference by switching off non-essential lights and not leaving office equipment such as photocopiers and computers in standby mode after hours.”
