Eskom suspends daytime load shedding (for now)
Eskom has announced the suspension of daytime load shedding from Tuesday until Wednesday afternoon.
Load shedding will be suspended from midday until 4 pm.
In a short statement, the utility said the suspension was due to the lower demand and further improvement in generation capacity.
Eskom spokesperson Daphne Mokwena says the suspension of rolling blackouts will be during the daytime.
"Load shedding will be suspended from noon midday until 4 pm. Thereafter, stage 2 load shedding will be implemented from 4 pm until midnight tonight, when it will once again be suspended from midnight until 4 pm on Wednesday."
