South Africans will spend the 2023 Christmas day with lights on.

Eskom has announced that loadshedding will remain suspended until next week Friday, 29 December 2023.
The power utility has attributed the suspension of load shedding to consistent improvement in available generation capacity and lower demand.
Eskom spokesperson Daphne Mokoena said: “Eskom will closely monitor the power system and communicate should any significant changes occur.”
