The family of three had been tied up, allegedly by a gang of gun-wielding men, before being robbed of belongings worth R600 000, including two cars.

Jill Walker, her husband and 20 year-old daughter were tied up with cables and shoe laces, and gagged while four suspects ransacked their farm home in Sun Valley last week.

Walker says the intruders found her husband in the lounge, tied him up and made their way to the main bedroom where she was sleeping.

"One of them had a gun and two had these big knives and it wasn't very long till my husband was tied up. I heard the noise, picked up a baseball bat next to my bed and ran into the lounge. I was confronted by three of them," Walker painfully recalls.

She says a knife was held to her neck, while she was forced upstairs to where her daughter was sleeping.

"I had to go up to the loft to grab my daughter. We were both tied up and placed on the carpet with my husband. They started asking us if we have a safe and other belongings."

The Midrand woman says one of the intruders kept an eye on them, while the rest carried things out of their home.

"It was four long hours. They took things like bedding, crockery, computers, cellphones, clothing, bedside lamps, cameras, basically everything accept for big furniture."

Walker says the intruders threatened to take her daughter as they were unable to start her car.

Midrand police spokesperson, Mmakgomo Semono, confirms they are investigating a case of house robbery.

No arrests have been made.

The Walker family have since decided to move out of their home, as they fear for their lives.
