A 35-year-old man from Limpopo is facing a charge of murder after he allegedly killed and buried his son in a shallow grave.

The incident took place on Sunday evening in the Ngwanamatlang village near Jane Furse in Limpopo.
It is alleged that the Lesotho national suffocated his son and dug a shallow grave and buried him.
Community members caught the 35-year-old man after he tried to flee.
“He was singlehandedly forced to dig up the soil. The already decomposing body of the child was then retrieved,” says provincial police spokesperson Motlafela Mojapelo.
The suspect was assaulted by an angry mob and was taken to hospital.
