Five killed in Ekurhuleni crash
Updated | By JacarandaFM News
Five people were killed after three vehicles collided on R59 north-bound just before the Swartkoppies turn-off early this morning.

The victims, all from one vehicle, were killed instantly, with a sixth occupant sustaining critical injuries.
An occupant of a second vehicle was also critically injured.
"The rescue team had to use specialised rescue tools, including the Jaws of Life, to recover the deceased and injured from one wrecked vehicle," said William Ntladi of Ekurhuleni Disaster and Emergency Management Services.
"Both injured people were transported to a medical facility for further treatment."
"The cause of the accident is not yet known. An inquest docket has been opened with the Ekurhuleni Metro Police Department," said Ntladi.
