Five killed in head-on collision on N11 in Limpopo

Limpopo MEC for Transport and Community Safety Violet Mathye has expressed concern over accidents that claim multiple lives at once on the provincial roads
This after another accident involving two motor vehicles claimed five lives on the N11 road between Marble Hall and Groblersdal on Saturday evening.
It is reported that an SUV driver unsafely overtook another vehicle and collided head-on with an oncoming light motor vehicle.
Both the drivers and three passengers lost their lives in the crash.
This is the third accident that claimed multiple lives in less than two weeks.
“You will remember that on the 28 August we had a bus that killed 10 people in Makhado and last week on Sunday along the N1, another five people lost their lives on our roads.
"This is a worrying trend for us as a provincial government of Limpopo,” says MEC spokesperson Phuti Lekganyane.
Speeding and reckless driving has been cited as the cause of the accidents.
