Flood warning for Limpopo
Updated | By Nokukhanya N Mntambo
The South African Weather Service (SAWS) has issued a weather watch for possible flooding in parts of Limpopo on Sunday.

This comes as heavy rains are expected to persist through the day.
SAWS forecaster, Edward Engelbrecht, says they have issued a warning to areas in the western and central parts of the province.
"With the heavy rain we expect 24-hour rainfall totals of above 50mm in places and that may lead to localised flooding in areas." says Engelbrecht.
"We're looking at low lying bridges and some roads may get flooded," adds Engelbrecht.
The heavy rain is expected to clear overnight and into Monday morning.

UPDATE: No load shedding expected today
However, the risk remains for load shedding to return at short notice. Customers have been reminded to use electricity sparingly and to assist us in reducing demand: * Set air-conditioners' average temperature at 23ºC * Switch off your geysers over peak periods * Use the cold water tap rather than using the geyser every time * Set your swimming pool pump cycle to run twice a day, three hours at a time * At the end of the day, turn off computers, copiers and printers at the switch.
