Hospital spokesperson Robyn Baard says no one has been injured.

"A patient was on her way to the hospital. Her husband, who had been driving dropped her off at our emergency rooms and then took the car to be parked.

"Once he got into the car park and parked the vehicle, the car was already on fire and it burnt out," she explains.

The cause of the fire is unknown at this stage.

This comes amid the Ford Kuga recall furore.
