Former MD Amanda Nair speaks out against Pikitup

Former Pikitup Managing Director Amanda Nair says she has not been fired, as stated by Johannesburg Mayor Herman Mashaba on Friday.

Mashaba this morning said he has given the go-ahead for Nair to be fired.
He confirmed the decision by the entity's board following various protests and strikes by municipal workers union, Samwu, against Nair.
Nair has been at the centre of controversy at the waste management service, with Samwu accusing her of mismanagement.
She, however, made it clear that she was not fired.
