Former Mpumalanga MEC Msibi’s bail application postponed
Updated | By Eva Chipa
The bail application of former Mpumalanga MEC for Agriculture Mandla Msibi has been postponed to 19 October.
Msibi will spend the weekend behind bars after his bail bid was once again postponed by the Nelspruit Magistrate’s Court on Friday.
This comes after Wednesday’s abrupt interruption due to a bomb scare in court.
“The former MEC’s case together with his two co-accused has been postponed to the 19th of October, for bail judgement in the Nelspruit Magistrate’s Court,” says spokesperson for the National Prosecuting Authority in Mpumalanga Monica Nyuswa.
Nyuswa adds that that both the defence and the state presented arguments in court on Friday.
Msibi has been charged with two counts of murder and one of attempted murder.
