Four killed in Germiston factory explosion

Four people have been killed in a cooking oil tank explosion at a factory at Roodekop in Germiston on Monday.
Four men have been killed after a cooking oil tank exploded.
Ekurhuleni emergency services’ spokesperson William Ntladi says investigations have been launched to determine the cause of the explosion.
“Their bodies are burnt, charred up.”
He says paramedics discovered the bodies after dousing the flames.
“People were busy welding and working on the tanks. One of them caught fire and exploded. We have identified four bodies. It was cooking oil. It was about 24 mega tanks that are making a web in the area.”
