The case against four men accused of beating a man to death
in an alleged racist attack in Middelburg has
been withdrawn.
Video footage shows an attack by a group of men on Xolisile Ndzongana and Lawrence Nelumoni on Cowen Ntuli Road in the Mpumalanga town.
The attack is believed to have started moments after the deceased asked the driver and passengers of one of the cars to move out of the way.
The suspects allegedly threw alcohol, which they were drinking, over Ndzongana and Nelumoni‚ calling them the k-word, before dragging Ndzongana out of the car.
When Nelumoni ran to help his friend‚ he too was attacked.
It is said that despite security guards and police arriving on the scene the alleged attackers were not arrested.
