Four nabbed for allegedly shooting security guard, stealing diesel

Four men were arrested for attempted murder, theft and attempted business robbery at Bona Bona near Morokweng on Friday, North West police said.
Lt-Col Pelonomi Makau said the men aged 18 and 42 allegedly shot and wounded a security guard before stealing diesel at a construction site.
“According to information received, the suspects allegedly shot a security guard who was on duty at a construction site in Bona-Bona village in his thigh and stole diesel. They then went to a nearby tuck-shop where they gained entrance into the shop through the roof with intent to commit robbery.”
She said members of the community realised what was happening and approached the four.
“The latter allegedly fired shots, but no one was injured. The police were alerted about the incident and all four suspects were arrested. It was during the arrest that the police found the suspects in possession of two firearms; a pistol and a revolver. The suspects are expected to appear in the Ganyesa Magistrate’s Court on Monday.”
