Gang of 15 robs store at Jabulani Mall
Police in Gauteng are hunting for an armed gang of 15 suspects who robbed a store at Jabulani Mall in Soweto on Sunday.
Police say nine armed suspects wearing masks entered the store and took money from the tills and safe.
They fired several shots during the robbery, but nobody was wounded.
Gauteng police spokesperson Dimakatso Nevhuhulwi says the suspects fled with an undisclosed amount of money.
“The information at hand indicates that while the nine suspects were robbing the store, two more suspects armed with firearms were at the main entrance of the mall, and the other four suspects, also armed, were on observation opposite the mall.”
The suspects fled in two vehicles.
