Gareth Cliff to return as Idols SA judge
Updated | By Suné du Toit
Radio and TV personality Gareth Cliff will be returning to his position as Idols SA judge.
The South Gauteng High Court on Friday ruled that M-Net reinstate Cliff after he filed an urgent application to be reinstated before auditions for the new season commences.
Judge Caroline Nicholls said the issue was contractual and not racism.
"I am of the view that the communication between the parties as well as their conduct is supportive of Cliff's contention that a contractual relationship between M-Net and Cliff existed. He has, therefore, made out a prima facie case for temporary reinstatement.
Outside Court, Cliff said he was thrilled with the judgement.
